Being on a team can help athletes to grow in so many ways. It helps teach players how to take constructive criticism, stand tall and push further even when they feel weak and low. It teaches them to never try to be better than anyone except themselves. It’s proven how discipline, hard work, and lots of effort pay off over time. But the most important lesson is the meaning of sportsmanship. Good sportsmanship is something all athletes and teammates should practice. It’s important to respect yourself, your teammates, and your opponents in order to have a positive influence on everyone around you. Keeping a humble, respectful attitude will set both your team, as well as competitors up for a successful game. When you have to work with a large group of teammates, it’s about all of the the players working together to become one. These lessons can Benefit us in our everyday lives. Good sportsmanship is the most important aspect when competing. The skills learned from practicing good sportsmanship with translate into our adult lives. Sportsmanship should be learned in order to stay calm in rocky situations, and handle unfortunate circumstances level headedly. Such as in situations where you feel a bad call was made, you don’t agree with the coach, or a teammate didn’t make the play they should have. In order for the game to run smoothly, skills such as these will  help demonstrate respect for yourself as well as others around you .Even if a team with good sportsmanship loses, being humble will allow them to lose gracefully. These skills are also useful in everyday life, as well as in sports. Respect will create a positive, supporting environment that will ultimately create a positive influence on everyone around you. It’s very important to practice developing these positive attitudes so that everyone can be supportive, positive, and influential individuals. These lessons are not only useful in sports, but in all aspects of life. There are many different aspects to practicing good sportsmanship. It’s important to play fair, support your teammates, Respect the rules and outcome, Be humble, and always keep a positive attitude. Applying these good sportsmanship tactics will help you to be a successful player, even if you don’t win the game. It’s important to practice these skills in order to be a admired team player, and a supportive member of society. The valuable lessons you learn from sportsmanship no one can ever take away from an athlete.
