The Chilling Race Between Three Haunted Places

As pumpkin carving and corn mazes are just around the corner, the most chilling and most frightening things are right behind it. Haunted houses are a staple of the fall season. October is the most frightening month and there are so many great scares you can have throughout it. The best part is October is just right around the corner and all these things will be happening soon.

Factory of Terror located in Fall River is first on the chilling list. It is filled with 5 spooky attractions that make your skin crawl, including Dracula’s Hideaway, Phobia Mayhem, Bloodworth Dungeon, 4D Black Out, and Zombie Alley. They also have a haunted house that you can do your traditional walk through but with a chilling twist, filled with 16 horrifying rooms. This place is open from September 24th to November 4th from 7pm to 10pm but hours may differ depending on the night. Their general adult admission is $22 but you can upgrade to get the Zombie pass for $30. You also have to sign a waiver as well before you enter. Unlike most places this haunted attraction is located in 3 different locations so people can go to the nearest one for a frightful time.

The second runner up on the list is Barrett’s haunted Mansion in Abington Massachusetts in my book because you are getting more bang for your buck but you don’t get as many attractions like in the first haunted house. There is two attractions you can go through which includes, a haunted maze, and an actual haunted house filled with clowns and uneven floors. It only costs $30 for both attractions. Which is a pretty nice deal. But they also give you the option to upgrade your ticket to the V.I.P ticket which lets you skip the line with less wait time to go in. Also a good thing to know about Barrett’s would be that they offer free admission to any active military card as well. It is open every weekend from September 22 to November 4th. At Barrett’s you can also volunteer to be part of the team to scare people and even your friends when they come.

And last but not least is the most common in Middleboro Massachusetts is the Lakeville haunted house. It is a local haunted house that offers many scares for low price. Tickets are sold at the location for $15, and is open from October 13th to the 28th and only open on the weekends. The also offer free admission with an active military card. The great part about this is that you are able to volunteer to be part of the scare team. You also don’t have to sit in a big long line for awhile. They offer seating in a waiting area under big white tents which is accompanied by a concession stand and music and LED lights.

Going to local haunted houses can be fun for your family and friends.
