   What is the hardest sport?

Swimming is the hardest sport to do. With swimming there is proper technique to do everything. If you don’t learn proper technique it might affect you in the long run because it is very hard to get out a bad habit in swimming. Without proper technique it could slow you down on things such as your flip turn. A flipturn is when the swimmer is coming into the wall does a front flip and pushes off the wall doing a dolphin kick for 5 yards. Some technique on a flip turn is that you should always take 2 pulls of front crawl after your kick before you breathe. If you don’t do this is it could make you from first place to fourth place in a race.  In swimming you do a flip turn at every wall. In a average high school practice a swimmer swim about 2,000- 4,000 yards per practice and in total the amount of times you do a flip is way more times than a cheerleader does a flip in practice. Swimmers also swim more yards than football players run in practice unless they run the whole field about 33 times then it would equal out. Everyone knows that they don’t do that for their whole practice since the have to practice plays, tackling etc. With constantly kicking for 2,000-4,000 yards it eventually evens out to doing more kicks than a soccer player. Noramly in swim practice if the swimmers do sprints they’ll have to have most likely 10 kicks per arm and if the take 20 pulls on a 25 (one length across pool) that’s about 200 kicks. It’s Way more than a soccer player would kick in mostly half of their practice or more. Swimmers also do more laps than a runner would run in an entire practice if you swim 4,000 yards in a practice that is 160 laps and I’m sure a runner won’t run 160 times around a track for practice. Swimmers work really had to shave off one hundredth of a second or even second in a meet. If the swimmer swims most likely every day and always does sprints then they may be able to drop a half second or a second in there next event. It’s takes about a month or more for a swimmer to drop time. Every sport is hard no doubt about it and you also have to work really hard to be the best of the best at that sport if you truly have a passion for it. For example you can’t just show up to a meet and get all best times and first place without practice. You have to work hard and practice to improve. Swimming takes the most amount of effort to do right. Even if the sport comes naturally to people the still have to work as hard as the person next to you.  You can be really good at the sport but not perfect since no one is perfect.
