          Why Boston Is The Best City

 

Boston Massachusetts is ideally the best city to live in or travel too. From cool attractions to the top education Boston has it all. It is ranked the 8th in the entire world for Best Student Cities in 2017 and is the only American City in the top ten. It has amazing colleges including Harvard MIT, and Tufts. There are about 152,000 students attending the thirty plus high education schools each year.

Boston is also home to some of the best healthcare. Massachusetts General Hospital is one of the best hospitals in the country, with many people traveling to get treated there. Boston has many hospitals and facilities helping a great amount of people each day.

There is no question about Boston being known for their sports teams.This century Boston has won more championship titles  in the big four professional sports (baseball, football, basketball, and ice hockey) than any other U.S. city this century. Each team has at least won one title. The sports in this city truly bring fans together and create lasting memories for everyone.  New Englanders relocate to other parts of the country like everybody else. But they never lose their emotional connection to the citys teams, no matter where they are living.

You can’t forget that Boston sparked  both the American Revolution and the ensuing American Revolutionary War. Multiple historic events took place here during the revolution. It was the capital of the Province of Massachusetts Bay, the home of the colonial government, and the center of trade and commerce of the colony.Boston harbor was the main port for importing and exporting goods and supplies in the region and was a vital maritime transportation center. Having control of Boston and the harbor was a great strategic advantage.Port cities like Boston were a vital part of the social, economic and political fabric of the British colonies. The various Parliamentary acts passed to regulate trade in the colony directly affected the port and merchants in Boston, which is what prompted their strong reactions and protests in the city.

This city has so many fun things to do all year round. You can see an outdoor movie at the Hatch Shell for free. You can take a swan boat ride at the Boston Public Garden. You can go fishing on Jamaica Pond in Jamaica Plain. In south Boston you can play games at the Lawn on D. At Fenway you can take a tour of the legendary Fenway Park. On Newbury street you can seriously shop till you drop as it is an iconic shopping street. In Back Bay you can take a gondola ride on the Charles River. These are just a few of the copious amount of things you can do in Boston.

The last part about the experience Boston gives is the effects it has on the people there. Everyone in Boston is connected in someway. You’d be surprised with the people you meet while in the city. Boston can easily come together and unite as one even when the going gets tough. Nothing will tear down this city.
