Should we allow refugees into the US?

In our world, there are many continuing conflicts growing against many of our countries now a days. These conflicts stem from women’s rights, religion, territory, power, money, etc. These factors commonly cause civil wars between many lands leading to an unsafe society for the civilians living there. When this does happen, they cause the people living in those areas to become refugees, seeking a way out of their country to better their lives and live safely, like they did before the existing conflicts. The real question here is, should we let these refugees into our country?

Refugees have been occurring throughout our history for a very long time. As our country is growing rapidly from the Americans living in the US, it would be an issue allowing thousands upon thousands of refugees into our country for many reasons. The first being, our country will start becoming over populated. This is a large potential issue. If the US is over populated there will be less and less housing causing even more homeless people than there are now. With a larger population, food would be the second leading issue. The need for food in our country would grow even more than it is now causing the food industry to either start producing more food or the American people would be at a food loss. If we are demanding more food, the price of food would rise more causing the consumer to get less for their money. As our economy is already having trouble, a rise in price will cause many existing Americans to struggle to make ends meet.

Letting refugees into the country also increases the amount of students in the education system. By adding thousands upon thousands of children in the education system will cause tax increases due to needs for more materials. For example, if one area gains 100 new students in an elementary school, they will need to purchase more school books, paper, pencils, etc. The schooling system likely will not have enough money in their budget to get these things on their own. This will cause taxpayers to up their taxes so that their money is going towards the need of education material. Also, with many new students they school will likely have to hire extra teachers to make sure classrooms are not exceeding the number of kids they can have in their classroom at a time. Not only this but many refugees from other countries do not have much education, and even if they do, their curriculum is very different from ours. They likely will be  behind the education standards for their age group, making it a challenge to try to catch them up.

Furthermore, refugees should be allowed into countries that do not already have a high population count. In countries such as the US, China, and India, they have some of the highest counts of population in the world. Adding thousands upon thousands of refugees in with an already overpopulated country will cause many issues with the economy, safety, and resources of those countries.
