A woman hired by a right-wing activist group falsely claimed to have conceived a child with Roy Moore when she was 15, the newspaper reported on monday morning.

The woman was identified as Jaime T. Phillips by the paper. In other interviews she claimed to have had an abortion after being impregnated by Roy Moore in 1992.

After hearing the Phillips’ story and researching a little about her, the Post said it had found inconsistencies in her account and evidence.

It appears that the woman is working with an organization that uses deceptive tactics to secretly record conversations in an effort to embarrass its targets. This explains why the Phillips was so interested in getting the opinions of the post about her story and Roy Moore.

She made these claims after a November 9th Washington Post investigative piece resulted in many allegations that Moore had inappropriate relationships with teenage girls. When telling them her story she was persistent in trying to get them to assure her that her story would take Moore out of the race.

The Post did not end up publishing the article based on the holes and inconsistencies in Ms. Phillip’s story.

After suspicion with her story they ended up finding out about her lies when on Monday morning, reporter from the Post saw her walking into the New York offices of Project Veritas, an organization that targets the mainstream news media and left-leaning groups.

The shady agency is founded by James O’ Keefe. He is well known for employing deceptive tactics in his “sting” operations, was convicted of a misdemeanor in 2010 for using a fake ID to enter a federal building. He refused to comment.

A reporter and videographer with the post tried to question O’Keefe on Monday outside his group office in New York, about Ms. Phillips fake story about Moore.

When asked about it he responded to the Post, “ I’m not doing an interview right now, so I’m not going to say a word.”

A reporter from the Post interviewed Ms. Phillips about the inconsistencies of her story. When he asked her about them while partially recording the conversation, she said she no longer wanted to participate in the story.

While researching her a little more they found a GoFundMe fund under the same name as the woman. She talked about her new job in New York, “I’ve accepted a job to work in the conservative media movement to combat the lies and deceit of the liberal MSM. I’ll be using my skills as a researcher and fact-checker to help our movement,” her page said, according to the Post.

Project Veritas hired Ms. Phillips in a failed attempt to get the Post to go against proper precautions and say they would do everything in their power to not get Moore elected. But do to the problems with the story they were given, they were smart enough to research more and ended up getting the information they needed to show the story was fake.
