What does it mean to be a best friend? The definition of a best friend is a person who you value above other friends in your life, someone you have fun with, someone you trust and someone in whom you confide.

Have you ever had someone in your life who helped you figure out who you were? Someone who showed you the right path. Someone who was there right next you even if you did not take that path. Someone who always seemed to be right, but never held it against you when you were not. Someone whom without your life would most likely be entirely different. I have. My best friend is Caitlin.

It’s hard to find a friend like that. You may just have good friends that you can count on sometimes, but to be dependable on a person and knowing they will be there for you, it’s hard to find someone like that. Without her I would not be as happy as I am now. We have so many inside jokes that nobody would understand unless they were there, or if they were just us! Not everyone gets our stupid jokes, and they might think that there immature and childish, but together we make them funny and get a good laugh out of it!
She’s the kind of person that I could never lie to. Even if I did try to lie to her, she knows me so well; she could tell I was lying. Caitlin can tell if I’m lying even if I am keeping a straight face! I don’t know how she does it. We think so alike and its like were communicating with our minds. At the same time were always thinking the same thing or have the same idea.

She told me the truth when I didn’t like it. She yelled at me when I was stubborn. She told me I was being stupid when I thought I knew it all. She has fought for me, traveled for me, and considered me. Above all, she has never left my side. After all of our adventures, escapades, and shenanigans,we endured. No matter how many miles came between us we were connected. They say that love is eternal and I would argue that a true friendship can surpass all kinds of love.

My best friend and I are leaving each other soon. Who knows if were going to the same college or still going to be in the same state? But I know that she will always be my best friends miles apart.

Caitlin is kinda slow but she is such a smart person. She is also way to nice and I’m not so we balance each other out. Everyone deserves a Caitlin in their lives. The will be blessed.

Best friends are such an important part of your life because they make such a big impact in your life. You do have other people in your life but having a best friend is a completely different thing. Best friends are importants.
